Denver, Colorado, May 30, 2009 – Mile High Denver Auto Repair today released a list of selection criteria to guide consumers in search of an auto repair services facility. Four of the more important quality criteria are listed below including:

Qualifications: Cars are unique and every brand has its specialties. Some facilities are qualified to repair and service all major makes and models while others are more specialized. For shops that perform work on all major makes and models, make sure they stay up-to-date on the latest documentation and repair notices that are specific to your automobile.

Check References: Reputable facilities will provide references. Also ask around for recommendations from people you know who have used a particular facility in the past. Someone with direct experience and no bias for or against a particular shop should be able to provide an objective opinion.

Get Quotes In Writing: Honesty is the sign of a good repair shop. Putting quotes in writing is a sign of integrity in the car repair industry. If the potential shop you’re talking to will not give you a written estimate, they probably should not be considered further.

Warranty: To what extent are repairs covered by warranty? What’s covered, what’s not, and for how long? These are among the basic questions to be answered. As with quotes, warranty terms should be obtained in writing to prevent misunderstanding.
